Highway Infrastructure Data by State
Federal agencies publish the numbers behind most arguments about American roads, usually as long tables split across several sites. These pages put the state view in one place.

How these tables are built
Each table is parsed directly from the agency's own published file, then checked against the national total printed in that file before it goes on the page. Values are not adjusted or modeled. Where a state did not report or a figure is missing, the table says n/a rather than filling a gap.
Every page names its source tables with links, so a figure can be traced back to the document that carries it. The CSV downloads hold the same values as the on-page tables and are free to reuse with credit to the original federal source. Background on what each federal dataset covers and how often it updates is in the guide to FHWA data sources.
Update schedule
FHWA posts a new bridge condition table each year, Highway Statistics tables arrive on a rolling basis through the year, and the fatality file for a given year is finalized well over a year after that year ends. Each page shows the data year in its title, and tables are refreshed when the next release is published.
